Joanne Wallin works for Croydon Local Authority as a Primary School Adviser, providing school improvement support to schools. She is also the LA primary mathematics adviser. Joanne has over twenty years’ classroom experience in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and was subject leader for mathematics and Assistant Headteacher before working for the LA.

Joanne is passionate about supporting schools to develop and improve their mathematics teaching. Her training experience includes being a Numicon affiliate trainer from 2011 to 2018 and a visiting lecturer to Roehampton University, teaching on the initial teacher education course, from 2014-2016. She is an accredited Professional Development Lead and enjoyed leading the Specialist Knowledge Teaching Mathematics for Early Years programme for several years.
